Thank you for all your submissions! - Scientific programme in progress...
Once again, thank you for all your submissions - we had received 384 abstracts from 42 countries worldwide before EMTC2016's call for abstracts closed on November 1, 2015.
The members of the Scientific Committee have by now completed the blinded peer-review process in which every abstract was evaluated by two scholars.
Based on these quality ratings, the heads of the Scientific Committee, Karin Mössler and Thomas Stegemann, have done their best to compose an exciting and multifaceted programme for EMTC2016, representing the broad variety of music therapy in Europe and beyond. Since the call for abstracts had exceeded all expectations, it was unfortunately not possible to accept all the interesting proposals on offer.
Altogether, 148 oral presentations, 20 roundtables, 36 workshops, and 73 poster presentations were accepted - a total of 277 contributions! Presentations of the scientific programme will take place in 11 rooms simultaneously, so prepare for some hard decisions when choosing where to go....
Corresponding authors have been notified whether or not their proposal was accepted for inclusion in the scientific programme at the end of January 2016. Further details (such as who will present on which day, etc.) will follow later.
Reminder for all authors of accepted abstracts: Please be aware that in order to include your contribution in the programme, it is required that you confirm your participation by uploading the final proof-read version of your abstract by Sunday, February 7, 2016 - please follow the instructions in your notification email.
For those whose abstracts have not been included in the programme, we hope that you will still be able to attend the conference in Vienna!
